WordPress is Not About You, It’s About Your Visitors
A good Webmaster needs to consider what the people that come to his or her wordpress actually want and how to encourage interactions. When you write a good post your main goal is to create interesting quality content for your visitors. Hopefully if you’ve done a good job you create this interaction with your visitors.
One thing to keep in mind is, the visitor is there looking for the things that are interesting to them. Not looking for things that maybe interesting to you. So filling your side bar with twenty of the latest cool widgets you like, may not only offend your visitor but slow your blog down to a crawl. Keep your visitor in mind and what they are looking for. A good wordpress webmaster is empathetic to the visitors needs.
Making sure your content is related to your keyword or keyword phrase is very important because that is what your visitor is typing into the search engine to find you. So if a visitor typed in red marbles for example and then lands on a page that is about red marshmallows, then there is a problem. Sure you like red marshmallows and found a great little widget to put in your side bar that you think is really cool. Why? Because you like red marshmallows, but your site is about red marbles, or did you forget?
A webmaster keeps his focus on the keywords or phrases that is the theme of the wordpress blog. He does not get side tracked on a personal quest for selfish fun and forget about the visitors. In fact he will find ways to encourage comments and interactions with other commenting visitors, creating buzz and popularity. This is how you improve your overall page ranking; you get visitors to talk about your great relevant content.
